Laying the foundations for recovery in Nepal
Families affected by the devastating flash floods in northern Nepal are already receiving shelter and essential household items through ShelterBox and local partners.
With further distributions underway and additional aid arriving in the country, support continues to reach communities as they begin the difficult process of recovery and rebuilding.

Safer homes take shape in Cameroon
A major milestone has been reached in Cameroon, where 870 emergency shelters have now been completed. More than 1,520 roofing kits have also been distributed, helping families strengthen their homes and better protect themselves from future extreme weather.

Reaching 2,400 households in Ethiopia
ShelterBox and partner Positive Action for Development have completed distributions of locally sourced aid to 2,400 households in Ethiopia. Solar lights, hygiene items, bedding, and kitchen sets are helping displaced families and vulnerable households improve daily living conditions while longer-term support continues.

Supporting families returning home in Afghanistan
Progress continues in Afghanistan, where local teams have completed training and community assessments ahead of shelter support for families returning to the country. Hundreds of households have already been identified, helping ensure assistance reaches people most in need as they begin rebuilding their lives.

A new world map puts Africa in perspective
For generations, many world maps have distorted the true size of continents. The United Nations has now voted to adopt the Equal Earth projection, which presents countries in more accurate proportion. The change helps create a fairer representation of the world, including Africa, which is often shown much smaller than it really is.
