Where is Madagascar?

Madagascar is an island country located in the Indian Ocean off the southeastern coast of Africa. It is separated from the African mainland by the Mozambique Channel. Madagascar is the world’s fourth-largest island and is known for its unique wildlife and diverse ecosystems, many of which are found nowhere else on Earth.

There is a wide variety of terrain in Madagascar, including rainforests, highlands, dry forests, and coastal regions. The country has a tropical climate, with a rainy season from November to April and a cooler, drier season during the rest of the year. Climate change is affecting Madagascar through more frequent droughts, intense cyclones, and changing rainfall patterns. These challenges are impacting agriculture, water availability, and food security for many families.
